My mom made this Day od the Dead skull to go with my wild "rug."  I love it!  It needs a prominent place in my house and I will find it soon but for now it sits beside a picture of a couple of clowns!  hah  love you joee!
Joee's White Rug

I think she wanted it a little bigger but white tee shirts are hard to come by (white tee shirts .
white enough to  use for a rug anyway!)  It is a nice rug.  I have had it rolled (due to Ellie-Sophie)
so it needs to just  be for a while to straighten out.  I hope she enjoys it!

A lot of rose pins

It took me a while to get these all finished and I had to ask Mary to help, but here they are!  I think they are for a special occasion.  It will be fun wearing them.  There are few pink ones in there because I know Bridget will surely want a pink one. She is our pink baby!  It was fun seeing them all in a pile!  There is blood and tears worked into this pile:  I broke a blood vessel in my hand and then I burned both thumbs on the hot glue gun (have the blisters to prove it!)  Ouch!

Flowery Flip-flops

I made these three pairs of flip-flops twice.  The first time, I thought they looked okay so I kept going and made all three.  When I was done, I didn't know if they were flip-flops, house shoes or Clown Shoes.  So, I started over and made these, much cuter flowery flip-flops.  I wonder if the people getting them know who they are?

Loopy Orange Scarf

So this is the loopy orange scarf I made that is kind of like the one I posted on Pinterest.  Jo commented that she wanted me to make her one.  It isn't exactly like the one posted but it is close.  It sure didn't take very long.  I don't like the way the loops lay but even if I made it identical to the one pinned, they would still lay this way.  They curl so it would be a scarf that you would have to watch but it is cute.  I think I even like the colot!  (Thank you to my model)

Giant Flower Pin

This giant red flower pin was one of those things I just wanted to see if I could make.  K. pinned a prettier one but I spent quite a bit of time trying to find a pattern for the one she had posted and couldn't find one.  I did find this one and it is still pretty big.  I think she will like it.  Having way lots of fun doing this-Just wishing there was some money to be made doing it! ha ha
The very start of my blanket/rug/throw thing.  It is about 10 rows wide now.  I know this isnt something new but it sure is making me happy.  Sometimes when I am working on it, I have to remind myself to keep working instead of looking and stoking.  Silly. huh? But still making me happy!

This is my throw today.  It is getting bigger.  I sure didn't intend for it to be this long but it will be a throw big enough to take a nap under-completely!  I am enthralled with the colors-every color I have is in there.  Momma thinks I should throw a line of black in there and I think I agree-I am going to try it and see how it looks.  That is one of the things I love about yarn-I can make lots of things out of the same piece of yarn (sometimes I have to make the same thing a few times until I get it right lol.)
It's getting close to finished.  It probably would be done by now if I hadn't made it 6 feet long!  It is a bit taller than me so maybe not quite 6 feet but pretty close.  If I am cold, I work it on my lap and stay pretty warm!  This is my first attempt at anything of this size (and this long holding my attention!)  I can't wait to finish it and throw it over the back of the sofa!!!!  I love all the brigth colors and the way they are coming together.  Sometimes there are a couple stripes that stay in the same colot family and then sometimes they are far apart.  Either way, this is fun and it amazes me that I can do it!  All by myself!
Ellie-Sophie thinks this is her rug!  I have it hanging over the stairwell  now it doesn't too awfully hairy!  I like seeing it there as much as I did on the back of the sofa since I see it every time I go up or down the stairs!  It is far from done, but it can be a work-in-progress as long as I want!  I am itching to start something new....(3/17/2012)

Tiny white baby beanie

A beanie for Baby Jane Doe

I fell in love with all the beanies to look at-so many cute little baby heads to cover!  The flowers on them sometimes look like they are as big as the baby!  But I thought I would try and see if I could make one and here is the result.  It is white,. I love white for babies. and the center has one of the pearls from a strand my Mom gave me that got broken when I was holding my grandson when he was pretty tiny himself-not this tiny.  I think I could probably make a lot of these and donate them somewhere someday

Vine Scarf

I am going to start this blog so that I can keep track of the things I make.  I have a notebook full of ideas and maybe someday this will turn out to be a full blog after I make a bunch of them!  I have made about 30 dishcloths and now I am really ready to try my hand at prettier, bigger things.  I know I can do it as long as I don't give up and quit because I am limited on patience.

.

This was a "scarf" Mary posted on Pinterest.  Well, the scarf she posted was a little different.  It was brown and surely better made but I was able to find enough different leaf patterns to put one together that worked for me.  I think this is probably the creation I am most proud of so far because it was more than just a little bit of time and lots more work.  I cannot wait to see her wear it!
